Calm seas and an ordered mind
Tranquillity is nothing else than the good ordering of the mind.
~ Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
No need to do Buddhist meditation. Just gazing at a calm sea can bring a sense of inner peace. Look long enough and your mind begins to mirror the sea—quiet, well ordered, and unperturbed by all the noise of the workaday world. But the sea has its moods. Tranquil now, it can turn turbulent at short notice. So enjoy the moment.
