Back to Sea by Roger McGuinn (original song in MP3)

A painting by French marine artist Roger Chapelet inspired American singer Roger McGuinn to compose 'Back to Sea'. The song is about the life of sailors as they travel around the world. It ends with the beautiful verse: "Pray that we ride a faithful tide/ Our topsail’s blowing free/ We’ll say hello to them Liverpool gals/ ‘Fore we head back to sea." The recording is part of McGuinn's Folk Den project and is covered by a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States Licence . (4.3 MiB, MP3, 2:44 minutes)
