IMPA Guidance on the Master - Pilot Exchange (MPX)

This pamphlet from the London-based International Maritime Pilots' Association (IMPA) reminds pilots of the importance of proper coordination between master and pilot. Says the short intro: "Each Pilotage assignment should begin with an exchange of information between the master and the pilot.
