
Ships of the Seven Seas by Hawthorne Daniel
'Ships of the Seven Seas' provides a sweeping history of ships through many centuries. Published in 1925, it was authored by Hawthorne Daniel, an American maritime writer and U.S. Naval Academy graduate. The introduction is by Franklin D. Roosevelt, who would serve as the 32nd president of the United States from 1933 until his death in1945. The digitised book is courtesy of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
