The Shanty Book by Richard Runciman Terry (Parts I and II in one PDF file)

'The Shanty Book' by Sir Richard Runciman Terry is a classic in the literature of sea shanties. A noted English organist, choirmaster and music scholar, Terry collected and annotated a total of 65 shanties for this Curwen Edition published in two volumes in 1926. The collection includes pianoforte accompaniments and interesting notes on the origins of the songs and their use at sea. Parts I and II of 'The Shanty Book' are courtesy of the UR Resarch at the University of Rochester in New York. For the reader's convenience, Marine Café Blog has merged them into a single PDF file.
