A bold new take on maritime safety
We were in a restaurant with our good friend, Captain Michael Cuanzon, when the subject of maritime accidents came up. ‘A person who hates the sound of the sea cannot be a good sailor,’ he said casually, still concentrating on his bowl of hot Cambodian noodles. At age 83, the Filipino old salt and part-time maritime lecturer is fond of making cheeky statements.
