Bargaining on wages in the Big Apple
Representatives of the Joint Negotiating Group and the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) continued to address the issue of piracy at the meeting of the International Bargaining Forum (IBF) held from 6th to 7th October 2010 in New York City. Specifically, a set of recommendations was agreed as guidance to all IBF ship operators and is aimed to assist seafarers, as well as ship owners and managers in any event of piracy. (more…)
